Death of the Executioner
5' by 3' Oil and mixed media on canvas

Executioners were called Commissioners in the Soviet Union. The word "Commissioner" implies a greedy association with money. These types of people created a new society called the Soviet Union. They robbed and killed people in the pursuit of making their own lives luxurious. They replaced the sacred holy icons within churches and homes with portraits of Lenin. Instead of crosses, the onion domes of the churches displayed red Soviet flags. Even as a part of the church architecture you see the eye of the KGB always watching and controlling society life.
